Borrowing & Interlibrary Loan Update

Starting January 2021, library staff will be available to facilitate borrowing and interlibrary loan. Please note that library staff are still working mostly remotely so these services remain limited in some ways. See the FAQs below for information on borrowing and interlibrary loan.

PLEASE NOTE: The courier will not begin delivering interlibrary loans until the week of January 18th.


Aultman College students

How can college students check out books from the Aultman library?

  • Because the library space is closed to students, the books aren’t available for browsing. You can search for and place holds on books through the NEOLINK catalog. To look only at books available at Aultman, select “Advanced Keyword Search” and select “Aultman” under the Location field. From there, input your keywords and search. If you are unsure of how to place holds on books or need suggestions on books, library staff are happy to assist you and place holds for you. Email us at healthsciences.library@aultman.com.

How can I check out books from NEOLINK and OhioLINK libraries?

  • All patrons can request books as normal through the NEOLINK and OhioLINK catalogs. Patrons can also ask library staff for assistance. For more information on using the catalogs, see here.

How do college students pick up requested books and renew books?

  • Requested books can be picked up from the Library Book Pick-Up cart located in the front office during open hours (Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9a-1p). You will get an email notification when they are available. Books will be marked with your name and the book’s due date. Just grab and go! You can renew books through the NEOLINK catalog as usual. How do I return my books?

  • Drop them in the book drop by the library entrance. The book drop is available any time the building is open.

Can I use the textbook reserve collection?

  • The textbook reserve collection remains unavailable.

Aultman personnel & Aultman College faculty/staff

How can Aultman personnel & college faculty check out books from the Aultman library?

  • Feel free to browse the stacks and select the material you would like to check out. At the circulation desk, do the following: 1) Remove the card from the pocket on the inside cover, 2) Sign your name on the card, 3) Leave the card in the wood box on the desk. You can also ask library staff for recommendations or assistance at healthsciences.library@aultman.com.
